DIESEL FUNDAMENTAL

I am an engineer developing electrical networks and setting up electronic equipment at a small sports car manufacturer.
We produce buggy off-road vehicles for sports and for special services.
We use different engines, and each of them needs special tuning for our tasks. Previously, we turned to third-party specialists for this,
so i needed the opportunity to independently adjust the parameters of our engines depending on the purpose of the car.
This course provides only the knowledge you need at the moment, no unnecessary “theories” and reasoning.
This method allows you to approach the top of the chiptuner, the reverse engineer, step by step,
while immediately using knowledge in practice with guaranteed results during the learning process.
During the training process, I began to understand and put into practice which parameters needed to be changed to achieve the task,
how to find them in the ECU software and how much to change them.
Now I understand which parameters need to be changed to improve engine efficiency, and how to find and describe them.
What is especially valuable in this method is the method itself as a system that includes the lectures themselves,
test tasks, as well as a large community of chiptuners, as a beginner, so it is with a lot of experience,
where I can always find answers to my problems, hints in difficult decisions and just an exchange of experience.
This course leads step by step to the possibility of working completely independently with any ECU from any manufacturer.
I recommend this course to anyone who wants to independently implement any engine tuning tasks
and be independent of the mistakes and misunderstandings of other tuners. And first of all i will definitely recommend this course to my colleagues.
This course is another important step I’ve taken towards my goal of being a reverse engineer.

GASOLINE FUNDAMENTAL

My name is Dmitry, I am a professional chiptuner with more than 10 years of experience, mainly focused on ECUs and electronic engine management systems. I came to this course with solid practical experience, but I was looking for a deeper understanding of the physical and chemical processes inside a petrol engine and a clear logic behind power generation, not just tuning habits.
I chose this course because it focuses on fundamentals: combustion theory, AFR, ignition timing, load models, and ECU logic, instead of offering quick tuning recipes. During the course, I gained a structured understanding of how power is formed in a petrol engine and how air, fuel, ignition, and torque models interact as a complete system.
The most valuable part for me was the clear explanation of ECU maps, their visual structure, and their real function in the control strategy, supported by practical and real-world examples. As a result, I now clearly understand which maps influence power, how to find them, how to read them correctly, and how to apply them consciously and safely.
I can confidently recommend this course to anyone who wants to understand petrol engine tuning from the ground up and build a strong, reliable foundation for professional work.

DIESEL FUNDAMENTAL

Good afternoon! My name is Denis. I’ve been chip tuning cars for over 15 years. I primarily buy firmware from third-party manufacturers. I often encountered problems with the calibrations themselves that calibrators couldn’t fix. I had to learn how to program a car myself. I’d taken numerous courses, but I wasn’t confident in applying my knowledge in practice. I can confidently say that this course was just what I needed. I had some doubts that I was afraid to apply in practice. This course answered all my questions and answered all my own. I gained a better understanding of the processes occurring in the ECU, which maps are responsible for what, and the relationships between them. I liked the way the information was presented; everything was explained in detail and clearly, so even a beginner could understand everything. I began to confidently apply the knowledge I gained in practice, and the results impressed not only me but also car owners. Now, when analyzing other people’s settings, I understand how well they were done. I can definitely recommend this course! Thank you!

DIESEL PRACTICE

I am a chiptuner and ECU calibrator working mainly with diesel engines. Before this course, I already had practical experience, but my approach was not fully structured and was missing a true engineering foundation.
I came to the course with doubts about many calibration decisions. I often knew what to change, but not clearly why. A lot of understanding was based on experience and repetition rather than calculations, physics, and clear models.
I chose this course because it promised an engineering approach instead of copy-paste tuning. What attracted me most was the focus on methodology, logic, and understanding physical processes inside the engine and ECU.
During the course, my mindset changed significantly. I stopped thinking in terms of isolated maps and started thinking in systems, cause-and-effect relationships, and efficiency. I now understand how AFR, fuel, air, pressure, and combustion interact.
Now I can independently calculate AFR-based power increases, optimize torque through efficiency, correctly work with rail pressure, pilot injection, boost, and VNT, and build structured Stage 1 and Stage 1+ strategies instead of guessing values.
The most valuable part of the course is the clear methodology and the way it teaches you to think like an engineer. It is not about tricks, but about understanding.
The main result for me is clear: this course is about becoming an engineer, not just a tuner. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to work professionally and independently. I am glad I chose this course because it gave me a real path toward my goal of becoming a calibration engineer.

GASOLINE FUNDAMENTAL

My name is Daniel. I have been engaged in chip tuning of Chinese passenger cars for 6 years, of which I have been calibrating myself for 3 years.

Before taking this course, I did not have a solid foundation of understanding how certain maps work, despite my successful work and good independent results.

I wanted to figure it out, realizing that independent searches for information can lead to incorrect conclusions.

I chose this course because I had already completed Tomas’s course on the diesel engine and was confident in his expertise, experience, and methodology. And I was not mistaken.

I got a clear understanding of the operation of the control unit and the necessary maps.

Tomas can explain complex things in simple language.

This course is about how if you want to become a professional, then go learn from a professional. This will significantly save time and nerves.

I recommend this course to anyone who wants to become a professional tuner.

DIESEL PRACTICE

Good afternoon! My name is Denis. I’ve been chip tuning cars for over 15 years. I mostly had to order firmware from various calibration specialists. Sometimes I encountered less-than-ideal solutions, and the problem couldn’t be resolved. I decided to start understanding firmware myself. I’d taken numerous calibration courses, but I was hesitant to put them into practice; I had too many unanswered questions in my head. I decided to take this course. What can I say, this is the best course I’ve ever taken! I found the answers to all my questions right here! The presentation is excellent, everything is explained in great detail and clearly. Only here did I understand which maps need to be adjusted correctly, why they need to be adjusted this way, and what results this will lead to. The processes occurring in the ECU and the relationships between the maps were explained in detail. I confidently began applying the knowledge I gained. The results are immediately noticeable, and all my clients are delighted. I finally understand how to properly, and most importantly, safely, tune any diesel engine. Now, analyzing other people’s solutions, I see how thoughtlessly they tuned them, and I have no desire to order firmware from other sources. Now I only do it myself, knowing I did everything correctly. I recommend this course to anyone who wants to learn how to properly tune a diesel engine, even if they have no experience! Thank you very much!

DIESEL PRACTICE

My name is Daniel. I have been engaged in chip tuning of Chinese passenger cars for 6 years, of which I have been calibrating myself for 3 years.
Prior to this course, I had never been involved in the calibration of diesel engines, as they are practically borrowed from the Chinese.

I wanted to figure out how to do this correctly, without harming the engine, since I don’t have the time and opportunity to experiment.

I chose this course because I saw Tomas’ expertise and tremendous experience. This is a person who relies on physics, who has a working universal methodology that allows you to understand everything in a short time and implement it into your work.

I got a clear understanding of how to make a literate, mathematically verified stage1 and stage1+. which will satisfy the needs of most customers.

I liked Tomas’s methodology and approach the most. He knows how to explain complex things in simple language.

This course is about how not everything is so difficult if you approach it from the right side and with the right knowledge.

I recommend this course to anyone who wants to become a professional tuner.

DIESEL PRACTICE

I am an automotive enthusiast. Before this course, I had absolutely no knowledge of working in WinOLS. For many years, I only kept hearing like a mantra that this is “secret knowledge,” that it cannot be learned in a simple way, and that no one would ever teach it properly. My main difficulty was that the topic always felt closed and accessible only to a few selected people. Everything seemed mysterious.

I chose this course because the approach was clearly different. No magic promises - just structured methodology and logical explanations. What convinced me the most is that here someone finally explains where specific values come from, not just “put X here and Y there.”

Now I can analyze a file independently, understand map structure, and make changes knowing what I am doing and why.

What is especially valuable is that the course teaches you how to think, not how to copy. The knowledge is delivered in a structured and understandable way. My main conclusion: this is not secret knowledge. It is engineering that becomes clear when someone finally explains it properly.

I recommend this course to anyone who wants to stop believing in myths and start truly understanding WinOLS. I’m glad I chose this course because it showed me that this field is not reserved only for the “initiated.”

My Review: Courses by Tomasz Pirowski and Stanislav Kasin

To be honest, I was skeptical at first. I’ve heard too many stories about courses where people pay a lot, get a certificate, but learn absolutely nothing that allows them to work independently.

My name is Witold, and I run Mtuneserwis Performance. I’ve been in the chip tuning industry since 2017. I manage a significant number of Slave device users and file service clients. Tuning is my passion and my hobby – I have a primary source of income, so I don’t just chase the money. I care about quality. My current obsession? Reverse engineering.

I came across Thomas Teaches Tuning and Academy Chiptuning. After checking their background, I decided to buy a few courses. Here are my thoughts:

Gasoline-PL and Diesel-PL Courses

These are in Polish and offer something for everyone. Beginners get a base, and pros can fill in the gaps. If I had to rate them, I’d give them a 6/10. Why? Because they weren’t “step-by-step” enough, which might make it hard for a total beginner to follow without extra guidance.

New Quality: The “Fundamental” Series

This is where the real game begins. You can clearly see Stanislav’s influence here – the courses have been revamped and are now fully professional.

Diesel Fundamental: I’m impressed. The quality is “mega-pro.”

Structure: Everything goes from general concepts to specific details, perfectly broken down into fragments with a clear hierarchy.

Who is it for? Everyone. Both beginners and those who are already tuning but want to finally understand the “why” and “how” behind the maps.

If you struggle with WinOLS, start with Stanislav’s WinOLS Zero. Even if you only gain 5% new knowledge, you’re still 5% ahead of the competition. I’m waiting for Gasoline Fundamental and will definitely share my feedback soon.

GASOLINE FUNDAMENTAL

Hi! My name is Denis. I’ve already completed the theoretical and practical course on diesel engine tuning on this platform. I’m successfully applying the material I’ve learned. I’ve decided to go further and start studying gasoline engine tuning. So far, I’ve only completed the theoretical part, but I can say I’ve learned a lot of new and useful information. I learned which tuning maps should be used, what physical processes occur in the ECU, and the relationship between the maps. I also learned how to find map data in a dump without a technical description, and what the map coefficients are. The material is presented simply, making it easy to understand and remember. I recommend this course to anyone who wants to start learning how to properly, and most importantly, safely, calibrate gasoline turbocharged engines. We’re moving forward and looking forward to the practical course! Good luck to everyone in your endeavors, and thanks to the instructors!

GASOLINE PRACTICE

I have completed the next stage of my studies at the Tomash and Stanislav Gasoline Practice courses.
What can I say… Even with extensive experience working directly with motors,
the experience of reading/writing firmware, editing it a little, took me a very long time,
and most likely I would never have learned the correct structure of the cards of various ECUs,
their functional purpose, methods of editing them, and calculations of the necessary changes.
And I would always continue to depend on ready-made solutions, hoping for the absence of at least gross errors in them,
or contacting other calibrators with my assignment.
Moreover, the course is specifically about a method that can be applied to any ECU.
This knowledge provides extensive opportunities for configuring software from a wide variety of ECUs.
I also want to mention the very intensive method of training itself - no water, just the right theory, just real practice
with real ECUs and real stage 1. In addition, during the course of studying Tomas, they show professional nuances
that make it possible to make the engine work better, more stable, more economical.
I will definitely continue my further studies here. My next stage is reverse engineering.

GASOLINE FUNDAMENTAL

  • I work in a corporation; chiptuning is my hobby that I’ve been doing for many years.
  • I had knowledge of modifying diesel engines, but no experience with petrol engines.
  • I chose Tomasz’s course after watching a few clips on YouTube, and because I could buy just the petrol course, not the whole bundle.
  • I learned the differences from diesel and how the system works in petrol engines.
  • Right now I think I’ll be able to do a basic stage 1 on a VAG engine with log analysis.
  • What’s especially valuable is the explanation of how everything is connected — not the “raise it here, raise it there” approach of others.
  • Conclusion: a good course grounded in the laws of physics, well explained even for beginners.
  • I recommend it to anyone who wants to understand chiptuning from the ground up and become a professional.
  • I’m glad I chose this course, because I achieved what I wanted to learn.

GASOLINE PRACTICE

I work as a production manager in a larger corporation. By trade I’m a car mechanic, and outside work I’ve been into cars and chiptuning out of passion for motoring for over a dozen years. Motorsport has been my passion since I was young — as a mechanic apprentice I was often in the pits at hillclimb races in Lech Koraszewski’s group.

Before the course I didn’t understand how petrol engines work; I bought files from various tuners, I could see they were done in a rush, but I couldn’t fix much or even speak up, not knowing the logic and the basics.

I decided on the course after seeing Tomasz’s first TikTok videos — you could immediately tell he’s a professional. Thanks to the course I understood the whole ECU logic and gained confidence, and now I can easily judge the quality of files my previous suppliers gave me.

What can I do now? I think a standard stage 1 on a MED17 won’t be a problem anymore. I’m also constantly analyzing BMW and MB files, and once I gain more experience I’ll move into the 3rd level — the 1:1 course with Tomasz.

The key phrase for the course: a logical explanation, not hints like “add 10% here and 10% there” — and you can carry the knowledge over to other car brands.

I recommend the course to anyone who’d like to learn the exact logic of how the ECU works from the ground up.

I’m glad I chose this course and not “Academy Chiptuning from Zero to Tuner”, which I was also interested in and which had a lot of ads on TikTok. But after a short conversation, exchanging my experience in this field with an arrogant graduate of that course (a tall, muscular blond from TikTok) who decided I know nothing, I concluded that Tomasz is the better option. After completing the course I know it was the best option, and there’s no better teacher than Tomek.

DIESEL FUNDAMENTAL

I’m an electronics engineer, and I’ve been doing chip tuning as a hobby for over ten years now. Recently, I decided to pursue automotive electronics and chip tuning professionally.

My biggest challenge so far has been sorting through all the information I’ve found online about modifying diesel engine control units. I usually relied on files from other tuners and tried to replicate their work without giving much thought to the changes I was making. This resulted in rather mediocre results and a terribly prolonged work time on each subsequent car.

I decided to join the Tuners Guild because the remote format of the course appealed to me, and it turned out to be more convenient than staying at a training center for a few days. Besides, the professional setup of the course itself, the YouTube channel, and the Discord group were additional selling points for this course. Not to mention the instructor’s many years of experience in tuning and teaching.

I won’t hide the fact that my skills in quickly searching for maps in 2D view have improved significantly (regarding the theoretical part of the course). I can also quickly and effectively adjust specific values in the maps to increase power and reduce fuel consumption (regarding the practical part of the course).
I can recommend this course to anyone who wants to quickly and effectively learn the basics of chip tuning and explore the topics mentioned above from a different perspective than what’s usually discussed on various online forums.

Personally, I don’t regret my decision, and I will definitely continue my education in the future through the master courses, gasoline tuning courses, or even Ghidra courses.

Greetings to Thomas and the entire V-Tech team. Keep up the great work!

My regards,
Robert Z

DIESEL FUNDAMENTAL

My name is Daniel Pacurar. I specialize in programming, coding and keys for 10 years. Over the last 3 years, I’ve been interested in chiptuning, mainly outsourcing my files. I have many collegues that do the same, but when we run into problems, we dont know how to fix or correct the maps to achieve the desired result.

For this reason, i decided to purchase this training course. I wanted to understand how to properly make a stage 1 file, not just making blind adjustments, but actually understanding what changes I make and how they affect the final output.

I have taken other paid courses, which were helpful no doubt, but i feel like I was “cut short” in the training. I was shown what changes to make to a map, but i wasn’t told why i was making the change. Additionally, we didn’t cover the entire maps, with the explanation that there wasn’t enough time to cover all maps because this is just “training”.

I choose Thomas teaching tuning because I had seen some youtube videos covering ghidra and I thought to myself, if he can teach reverse engineering at such a high level, surely his stage courses will be the best.

The fact that I learned how to find maps without a damos is priceless. I was always put off by the fact that I need to buy a damos / mappack / ols project or a2l. But now I understand how to find maps, how to create them and insert the correct factors. So no matter what ecu I am working with, I can now create my own maps and I feel confident as ever!

With my new skill set, I can now accurately offer my clients performance increase without any doubt. If a mechanical issue arises with the vehicle, I won’t be second guessing if the tune file is the issue or the vehicle. No more copying maps, hoping the file in my database will work. Now i can do it on my own!

I recommend this course to those that are tired of not knowing what they are looking at or doing. Training courses can be tiresome and grown men especially don’t like to take time away from work to do them. The way these courses are structure made it really each to stay focused and stop / restart easily. The homework at the end of each lesson makes sure you actually learn something and retain the information.

I’m very thankfully that Thomas took the time to makes these lessons and I will likely be taking all available courses. The money spent on these courses will easily be recovered when you become the “best tuner” in your area!

My name is Dmitry, and I am a professional chiptuner with more than 10 years of experience in ECU calibration. I came to this course with solid practical knowledge, but I was looking for a deeper understanding of the physical processes behind engine behavior, not just map editing.
This course gave me exactly that. It helped me clearly understand how air, fuel, ignition, and torque models interact as a complete system. One of the most valuable parts was learning to recognize maps by their structure and logic, not just by DAMOS.
Now I feel much more confident working with unknown files, identifying key maps, and making safe, logical calibration decisions. I especially appreciated the focus on “why”, not just “how”, and the real-world examples of common mistakes.
This course builds a strong foundation for anyone who wants to move from basic tuning to a professional level. I highly recommend it.

DIESEL PRACTICE

Hi, I’m Alessandro and I own a company that’s been working in chiptuning for 10 years. I attended this course to update myself on chiptuning methods for the latest control unit structures, and I must say I was very satisfied with the method used and the simplicity of the explanations. I recommend this course to anyone who wants to pursue this career path to learn the correct method, but also to anyone like me who wants to stay up to date and not fall behind on the operation of new structures.
