DENSO LFJ1EF – minimum ignition limiter (~ -13°) (Mazda MX-5 NC)

Hi,

I’m working on a DENSO LFJ1EF file from a Mazda MX-5 NC (gen 3) and I’m trying to identify what is enforcing a minimum ignition angle of around -13°.

No matter the conditions, ignition timing doesn’t seem to go below this value, so it looks like either a limiter or a single point limiter.

I’d appreciate help identifying the exact map or limiter responsible for this behavior.

It is set to -13.5 Grad (and other variant to -10 Grad)
