Hi, i want to ask about my Audi 376009 0050 Tiptronic. Im in tunning new like 1year and i have done many edc15 also flames. My Audi is EDC16CP and i have done one time throw DAMOS in WINOLS something like Popcorn with big banging but it wasnt like i want. After next month which i try many AI aaand other tools still no flame. Can u help me about maps damos? which and how edit?
-Have Tiptronic some safe maps?
-or do some tuning hardware? i have tryied 3types of exhaust
- i have done more than 5 very nice popcorns but still cant see flame.

You’re trying to get popcorn on a diesel engine, but “popcorn” with flames is a petrol engine strategy. There, the effect is achieved through ignition: on throttle lift-off, the ECU keeps injecting fuel (creating a rich mixture) while the ignition timing is heavily retarded (on Bosch MED17/MG1 the latest-allowed angle lives in KFZWLATELB, DAMOS folder ZWMIN) — combustion is still in progress when the exhaust valves open, so the mixture finishes burning in the exhaust tract. That’s where the pops and flames from the tailpipe come from.
A diesel has no spark — it’s compression ignition, so that lever simply doesn’t exist. On top of that, a diesel always runs lean, and its exhaust is much cooler than a petrol engine’s — the unburnt fuel in the tract has nothing to ignite it. So the standard diesel option is hard cut (“popcorn” on the limiter): an abrupt fuel cut through the torque limiter (DAMOS folder EngPrt_PrtLim, map ID EngPrt_trqLim on EDC16/EDC17/MD1). The effect is purely acoustic — harsh pops on the limiter, no flames.
In theory, flames on a diesel are possible — through heavily retarded injection (main injection SOI — DAMOS folder InjCrv_MI1, map ID InjCrv_phiMI1Bas) with increased fuel quantity (folder InjCrv_MI, map ID InjCrv_qMI), combined with a lot of excess air and a full straight pipe (any catalyst or DPF will burn the fuel inside itself without any visible flame). But the burning charge then passes straight through the turbo: exhaust temperatures go beyond the limits, the turbine blades overheat, and the turbo’s lifespan drops dramatically. And even then the result is inconsistent — the sound comes easy, the flames only appear as occasional flashes.
That’s why nobody will build this solution for you — it’s unsafe. And most likely that’s exactly why you haven’t found it: it’s not on the market, not because nobody has thought of it, but because serious tuners deliberately refuse to do it. The only option left is experimenting on your own — but that’s reinventing the wheel: a huge amount of work at the cost of destroying engine components, first of all the turbo. And all that for an effect that barely lights up anyway. Essentially, it’s abuse of the engine — and I don’t think that’s really your goal.
If the goal is an impressive sound, go with hard cut: it’s a standard, safe solution and it sounds great.

Momentálně mi jde o to že nedávno asi 2měsíce zpět se mi podařilo jednotku bricknout. Následně byla v opravně a poté mi přišla zpět jenže od té doby se nemůžu domluvit ani s klasickým popcornem. předtím jsem měl hromady pokusů kde auto buď práskalo hezky bez plamene nebo hulilo bíle což je jasné ale momentálně mi nejde žádný limiter nastavit. Zvýším výkon,upravím jakoukoliv mapu ale limitery najednou mi nejdou. Je možné že když přehráli z 0050 na 0020 376009,že tam jsou nake ochrany které byli ve staré verzi jinak? je to Automat tiptronic 2005/6,které ochrany se vztahují k omezovači? a které by mohli zasahovat či pomoct při dělání takového limiteru?
